SWIM BETTER, SWIM FASTER WITH SSPA

The Singapore Swimming Proficiency Award (SSPA) is an award structure based on a swimmer's ability to swim any of the four (4) recognised strokes in compliance with FINA rules for competitive swimming. The Singapore Swimming Association (SSA) launches the SSPA to promote swimming proficiency as the platform for swimmers to enjoy all aquatics sports; namely Competitive Swimming, Diving, Synchronised Swimming and Water Polo.

The Objectives:

- To provide the progression for swimming after SwimSafer program.

- To raise the level of swimming proficiency of students and the general public in Singapore.

- To provide a telent pool for the next generation of Singapore competitive swimmers.

- To increase the level of technical expertise among our swimming coaches.

An Overview of SSPA Levels:

Certificates and Badges:

There are 20 certificates and badges to be attained if the swimmer completes all the level. Nonetheless, the swimmer may wish to challenge himself or herself by attempting any particular level of swim test. In completion of level 1, 2 or 3, the swimmer has an option to purchase a rainbow certificate and badge.

Test Venue:

The Centralized swim test will be conducted at Toa Payoh Swimming Complex.

How to book for the test:

The coaches on duty will inform all parents of the upcoming swim test, once the swimmer shows readiness. A registration form will be emailed to you at least 3 weeks before the test date.

Private lesson can be conducted at Condo Pool, Private Residences upon request. We will assess the pool first and advise you accordingly if the pool size is suitable for training.
